Higashiyama Yoyo is a traditional Kyoto Machiya located in one of the best areas in Kyoto. It has been lovingly restored with traditional Japanese design and features modern amenities such as a western toilet, air conditioning, heating, and a modern kitchen. Higashiyama Yoyo is located in the Kyoto's Higashiyama sightseeing area. The area around the house is steeped in Kyoto history, with many interesting cafes, antique shops and specialty shops selling sweets, incense and accessories from old kimonos.  Many of the Kyoto highlights, including Kiyomizu Temple, Sanjusangendo and the National Museum, are only an easy stroll away from the property and, at a fifteen minutes walk, are the Higashiyama Mountains with their superb hiking paths.
